Description Summary:
The Inspector Is Responsible For Completing a Two Part Home Inspection Deficiency Report As Defined In The Internal SOP. Part One Consists Of a Comprehensive Visual On-Site Property Data Gathering Evaluation, “The Inspection” Noting Deficiencies Along With Photo Documentation. Part Two Is The Off Site Report Creation Where Site Documentation Is Reviewed, Organized and The Completed Report is Finalized As Defined In The SOP.

A General Home Inspections includes:

  • Thorough Visual/Operational Evaluation Of General Home Inspection Items
  • Grounds and Exterior – Driveways, walkways, exterior materials, gates, doors, windows and much more!
  • Garage – Attached or detached. Walls, ceilings, floors, doors, fire safety and more!
  • Electrical – Service wires, panels, outlets, lights, wiring, solar connections
  • Gas – gas meter and gas pipes
  • Plumbing – service pipes and drain pipes
  • Water Heater – age, condition, type, size, strapping, proper installation
  • Heating/AC – age, condition, testing, installation of heating and cooling equipment, including thermostats and filters.
  • Attic – Access, structure, ventilation, insulation, duct work, roof penetrations, plumbing and electrical
  • Roof – materials, condition, cracks, holes, damage, flashing and gutters
  • Foundation including crawlspace -Type, Access, Pier & Beams, walls, floors, earthquake anchor bolts, framing, sub-floor
  • Kitchen – sinks, cabinets, counters, built in appliances,
  • Bathroom sinks, showers, tubs, toilets, fans, windows
  • Interior Areas – Windows, Walls, Doors, and more!
  • Laundry Connections – dryer vents, plumbing connections,
  • Basic Fireplace and Chimney type condition, visual assessment of any cracks, damage, fire hazard, spark arrestor and rain cap

Required Skills:

  • Reading Comprehension
  • Consult with Customers Regarding Home Inspection Findings
  • Adhere To The Clearest And Most Logical Way To Present Information For Greatest Reader Comprehension.
  • Produce, edit, and format Part One on site data collected
  • Participate in compliance meetings
  • Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews reporting deliverables.
